A confidential, voluntary, impartial service provided by a qualified workplace Mediator (NOCN accredited).

We provide a supportive and safe environment, for parties involved in a conflict situation, i.e. disagreement at work, to explore the nature of the issue and find an agreed way forward to improve the working relationship.
Benefits to mediation include;

it is quick and effective, gets people talking, saves money, it’s flexible, it’s informal so can be much less stressful for those involved, it does not affect statutory or human rights.

Mediation normally takes one day or, on occasion, perhaps two if the disagreement is more involved or complex.
Sensing there is an issue, you might hear the following:

‘I’m completely fed up with my manager, I feel like I can’t do anything right, I’m going to complain’

‘They have started avoiding each other, it’s going to effect the business if they don’t sort it out’

WHAT DOES MEDIATION LOOK LIKE? HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLE STEPS IN OUR PROCESS:

An initial meeting with each party separately to inform the Mediator of the issues.
The parties are brought together.
Each person is given uninterrupted time to talk through their side of the issue and what it means to them.
The Mediator facilitates a discussion between the parties, providing support to each person, to think about options available and agreeing what they can do to resolve the issue.
A way forward is agreed between the parties verbally, can be written. Agreements are informal and not legally binding.
